Why Do I Offer Both IB English Tuition and IB Chinese Tuition?

I consider myself a lucky teacher, offering IB English Tuition in a setting where I can truly focus on what matters most: the students. Without the usual buzz of school timetables and announcements about lost PE kits, I have the time and space to tailor lessons that fit each student like a favorite sweater—warm, flexible, and uniquely theirs. In my classroom, every voice matters, and thinking aloud is not just allowed but positively encouraged. After all, isn’t that where the best ideas often start?

Last September, I began offering IB Chinese Tuition after several brave students shared their struggles with IB Chinese A: Literature. They couldn’t drop the subject (nor should they), but they needed a way to make sense of its depth and complexity. Together, we unpacked the texts, and along the way, I rediscovered the beauty of Chinese literature—its rhythms, its subtleties, its power. Teaching both English and Chinese has become an adventure in bridging worlds, where language, culture, and meaning meet. It’s an honor, really, and occasionally a delightful puzzle.

By focusing on IB English Tuition, IB Chinese Tuition, and GCSE English Tuition, I encourage students to explore not just what they learn, but how they know it—an approach inspired by Theory of Knowledge (TOK). Every lesson is an opportunity to question, connect, and reflect, tailoring learning to each student’s unique perspective. In these dynamic curriculums, we don’t just prepare for exams; we develop ways of thinking that last far beyond the classroom.
