I’ve worked one-on-one with hundreds of students, which has significantly contributed to my growth as a teacher. I aim to create a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing. I challenge them just enough to keep them striving for more, while tailoring each lesson to their unique needs because everyone learns differently. My professional development has been particularly enriched by my experience working with families of neurodiverse children and teenagers. Through them, I’ve gained invaluable insights into the challenges of living and learning with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, and other conditions. These experiences have inspired me to delve deeper into educational psychology, beyond textbook knowledge. This knowledge has also benefited my neurotypical students, as my pedagogy has evolved to cultivate a 'straight-A mindset,' motivating them to become both voracious readers and prolific writers.
Many of my students have been with me since primary school, and together, with a strong emphasis on IB academic success and mental health, we’ve progressed to prestigious, world-class universities.
